What happens to what you send us

This page lists what the enquiry form and the chat box on this site collect, what is recorded alongside it, and where it goes.

The enquiry form

It asks for:

  • your name;
  • your mobile number;
  • your email address;
  • your town or city;
  • what you have found, if you pick one from the list;
  • anything you write in the message box.

The time spent completing the form is checked to help filter automated submissions. With it, the site records the page you sent it from, the time it was sent, and the IP address of the connection it came from.

Every form on this site also sends the full address of that page, the address of the site that sent you here if there was one, and any campaign tags (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign) that were on the first page of your visit, so the owner can see where an enquiry started. Your browser keeps that first referrer and those tags in its session storage until you close the tab; it is not a cookie and nothing reads it except these forms.

The chat box

It takes your message, your mobile number and your email address. It also records the page you sent it from, the time, and the IP address of the connection.

The job application form

On the careers page, it asks for your name, your mobile number, your email address, the town or city you live in, the role you want, your years of experience, and anything you write in the message box. It records the page, the time and the IP address in the same way, and marks the entry as a job application so it is kept apart from enquiries.

Where it goes

A message from any of these forms is sent by email to the owner of Pest Control Pampanga, and a copy is kept in a log on the web host, outside the part of the server that visitors can reach. A one-way hash of the IP address is used to limit how many messages one connection can send in an hour.

Separately, Cloudflare, which delivers this site, runs its Web Analytics on each page: your browser loads a script from static.cloudflareinsights.com, which reports page views and page load times to Cloudflare.

Cloudflare also sets one cookie in your browser, cf_clearance, which it uses to tell people from bots. It lasts about a year, and the pages of this site cannot read it. This site sets no other cookie.

Asking for an entry to be removed

To ask for something you sent to be removed, send the request through the enquiry form or the chat box, with the name and the date you sent it under.

Tell us what you have found

Send the pest, the town and roughly how long it has been going on. That is enough for us to say what the treatment would involve and what it depends on.
